Our Accessibility Statement
Latitude Inc NFP is committed to providing a digital community lab, education, and a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of knowledge or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of Latitude and, in doing so, adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines. Latitude is using ADA guidelines as a starting off point while remaining open to community feedback on how to constantly improve our lab.
Assistance can be provided when making prints or scans as a DIY member. For printing, our lab has workstations that have desks at a standard ADA height and Staff or Lab Assistants are always available to help load paper. DIY users who need assistance trimming or reviewing prints under our viewing lights can coordinate a personal assistant with advance notice. For scanning, assistance can be provided loading film in the V850 and Imacon scanners. Due to the process of loading film for drum scanning and the height of the camera for the camera scanner there are limited DIY accommodations at this time.
Since each of our workshops deals with different equipment and topics, each web page individually lists the accommodations available. For example for Intro to Print Frequent movements such as sitting at a computer workstation, standing at a printer, and trimming prints at the production table are a part of this workshop but the workshop’s mobility can be reduced and/or limited by request.
If you would like to report difficulties entering our space, using our facilities, or accessing the website, please contact info@latitudechicago.org with the subject line “Accessibility Concern,” call us at 773-888-2241, or send us a message on Instagram at @latitudechi.

Parking
LATITUDE Chicago is in the process of acquiring a handicap parking spot in front of 2003 West Fulton. Until that time street parking on Damen, Fulton, and Hoyne is available.
Building Entrance
When arriving at 2003 West Fulton there are two entrances. Please use the 2nd set of doors from Damen Ave. On the box select the "Call" button and find "Latitude." That will call us and we will buzz you in. Upon entering use the ramp or stair to get to the elevator. Latitude is located on the second floor.
There is a call box at the main door that can be used to gain access to the building. The front door may be too heavy for some people to use independently, contact a staff member if assistance is required. Once inside, there is an ADA ramp to the main elevator. If assistance is needed with entering the building, please contact a Latitude staff member at 773.888.2241. In the event this elevator is down there is an additional elevator to the left of the main entrance.
Elevators
Our space is located on the second floor which is accessible via elevator. There are two freight elevators available in the event our two passenger elevators are down. Once off the elevator, you will be buzzed onto the second floor.
Navigating to our lab
Once on the second floor through the second keypad make a left and then your first right down the main hallway. The DIY lab, Service Pick Up, and Film Processing will be the only door on the right side.
Restrooms
At the end of the main hallway on the second floor there are two gendered, multi stall bathrooms. Both bathrooms are ADA compliant.
Our Space
All of our workstations including flatbed scanners as well as the small and large format printers are wheelchair-height accessible.
